Class Motto:

Believe in learners, and they will believe in themselves.

ABOUT

My name is Kristin Naude. I was born in Joburg but moved to Cape Town when I was 8. I have always had a love for literature, especially the classics, and so teaching English is hardly a surprise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This is my 11th year in education. I completed my undergraduate at UCT, majoring in English and Media studies. I also did electives in Philosophy, Religion and Linguistics. I then did my Post Graduate in Education. In previous schools, I held the position of Deputy Principal as well as the Head of the FET Phase. Whilst positions in management have allowed me to develop important skills, my passion has always been, and remains, teaching.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I believe students learn best when they are actively engaged in meaningful, hands-on experiences. I strive to integrate learning with the real world so children can see purpose and relevance in what they do each day. I truly believe every child is capable of learning when they have someone who believes in them and helps ignite a passion for learning.
